William is our pride and joy. He has won 27 English Setter Specialties, including the National, and is the top specialty winning male in English Setter history. You can see a list of his specialty wins by clicking on the link below. He was #1 English Setter (all breed) and #2 English Setter (breed) in 2003,  the Westminster Kennel Club breed winner in 2004, and a two-time AKC Invitational Best of Breed winner. He is also a multiple Best in Show winner.

William is a proven and experienced sire. He is known for his smooth neck-into-shoulder transition and his wonderful front assembly. He is a very balanced dog, short-coupled, with a strong topline, beautiful tailset, and a beautiful head with soft expression and melting eyes. His coming and going movement is very true, and his strides on his side gait are very long and easy. He is producing very nice heads, strong toplines, great movement, and usually very nice bone.

William, in concert with some beautiful bitches, produced Best of Breed at the 2005 Westminster Kennel Club, Winners Dog at the 2002 National as well as multiple Specialty BOB, BOS, BOW, WD, WB, and Best in Sweepstakes winning get. He has also produced multiple get with OFA Excellent hips. When his daughter Image (Ch Huntwoods Intuition of a Dream), went BOS to him at the 2005 National, they made English Setter history.

We have a small amount of William frozen semen.

William's registered name is taken from a line in the great Wordsworth poem Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood:  "Nothing can bring back the hour/Of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower." His call name is, of course, Wordsworth's first name.
